I am a huge rocky fan, and that video pretty much sums up the action and dialogue of all the movies! Some would argue, but there was a lot more to the movies than these film clips that you just watched. It doesn’t show Rocky’s various training montages, his relationships, his coaches, or his fights!
It would be silly for me to tell you to describe the Rocky movies by those 5 seconds if you never saw the movies before. You could get the fact that he was boxer and grunted a lot, but that’s about it. Why do we do that with God? Most of us can quote John 3:16, but that’s to the extent of our Bible knowledge. Some of us show up on Sunday mornings, maybe even on a Wednesday to worship…but that’s our fill of God. How can we begin to know and understand God more if all we do is give Him a passing glimpse?
